We love to throw a party, especially when it connects us to our British inspired roots. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee gives us 60 great reasons to celebrate as it marks 60 years of the Queen’s reign. The official celebration for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will take place in Britain over a Central Weekend from Saturday, June 2nd through Tuesday, June 5th.  The Pub will also host a 4-day celebration that coincides with the official schedule in Britain.

Queen Elizabeth previously celebrated her Silver Jubilee in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee in 2002. Her Diamond Jubilee is the second celebration of its kind to take place in British history. The only other monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897. To commemorate Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years of reign, official celebratory activities were scheduled to take place over the Central Weekend, such as The Big Jubilee Lunch and BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace.  Click here to view the official schedule of events in England.

Over 4,000 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom in celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We will do our own version of a “Beacon” lighting following a toast to the Queen.
